Maldon & Tiptree Football Club was formed in July 2010 after the amalgamation of Maldon Town & Tiptree United.
After eleven years, the JFA was formed in November 2021, by an independent group of supporters keen to assist in taking Maldon & Tiptree Football Club to the next level.
Membership opened for the first time in January 2022, with the JFA board being formed: Tony Williams took up the role as Chair, whilst Richard Buckby stepped forward as Vice Chair of the Association, Anthony Knight took on the role as Treasurer, with Charlie Duggins-Jones appointed as Secretary. Roger Stapleton, Alan Taylor, Martin Gilbert-Bryan and Lee Witney also formed part of the committe, with Lee taking on the role as Media Manager for the JFA.
The initial aims of launching the JFA in 2021 is to focus on fan engagement and experiences, promote inclusivity amongst the football, whilst growing the reputation of the club in the local community. In addition, the JFA are keen to strengthen the clubs’ relationship with the supporter base including those who support from afar and those that attend matches.
The JFA is part of a network of supporters trusts in the UK, which come under the umbrella of the Football Supporters’ Association of which the JFA is a member.
