The Jammers Fans Association Committee would like to publish an update to its members following the statement released on Saturday lunchtime.
As a result of the open letter issued by the JFA on Saturday 9 September 2023, our Chair, Tony Williams received a telephone call from Mitchell Cowling, General Manager of Maldon & Tiptree Football Club on Sunday 10 September 2023.
Mr Cowling mentioned there will be a statement issued by M&TFC in the future, however it’s unclear at this time what this will relate to or cover. The JFA look forward to reading the planned statement. We do however remain concerned regarding the items included within our letter.
The JFA Committee are seeking advice from the Football Supporters Association (FSA), of which the JFA is an Affiliate member. The FSA is the national, democratic, representative body for football supporters in England and Wales and part funded by the Football Association.
We remain committed to supporting and promoting M&TFC and we would encourage all members to be at the next match, which is on Saturday 16 September when the First Team travel to Walthamstow. The next home game is on Saturday 7 October.
A further update will be communicated to members if and when appropriate to do so.
