With the end of the 2022/23 season approaching at a pace, it’s time to begin voting for our JFA Player of the Year.

Last season, the award was handed to Scott Kemp who had a superb season and after a difficult 2022/23 season for the club as a whole, the JFA Committee have narrowed down nominations to just three, based on those players who are still with the club.
The nominations for the Jammers Fans Association 2022/23 Player of the Year are:
Peter Mokwenye
Since joining the club from Basildon, Peter has put in a number of impressive displays at full-back. In December, he was crowned the JFA Player of the Month in just his first month at Park Drive. A tough nut to crack in defence, he has often turned provider in attack also, chipping with a number of assists since arriving.
Danny Nesbitt
Another defender, brought to the club by Adam Flint and since making his debut as a substitute away to Witham Town, Danny has been a lion in the heart of the Jammers defence. Tough tackling, powerful heading and the occasional goal have shown Nesbitt to be a shining in overall, a difficult season. As a result of his performances, Danny has been nominated for player of the month on several occasions.
Michael Finneran
What a singing Finners has been since arriving from Canvey Island. Appointed captain shortly after arriving, his leadership and desire to win have been on show throughout his time at the club so far. Bedding himself in not only as a fans favourite, but a fox-in-the-box too, having notched several goals which is impressive as a central defender – arguably he has had a few chances to increase his tally also! Finners’ Jammers career has only just got going, but it’s been an impressive start which see’s him complete the 2022/23 nominations.
Each JFA member is entitled to one vote for the 2022/23 Player of the Season. Votes provided by non-members will not be counted.
The vote will close at 5pm on Saturday 8th April.
